Terms and Conditions

The terms you’re agreeing to when you book a job with us. No hidden clauses, and nothing here that we wouldn’t say to your face.

Last updated: 11 August 2026  ·  Checo’s Pro Mobile Mechanic Services, Madison, Wisconsin

1. These terms

These terms apply when you book mobile automotive repair with Checo’s Pro Mobile Mechanic Services (“we”, “us”). Booking a job means you accept them. If something here doesn’t work for your situation, tell us before we come out and we’ll sort it.

2. Quotes and pricing

Quotes are given before work begins, based on what you tell us and what we can see. A quote is valid for 30 days and assumes the vehicle is in the condition described.

Some things genuinely can’t be known until we’re at the vehicle. If we find additional work is needed, or a seized or corroded fastener turns a one-hour job into a three-hour job, we stop and call you before spending your money. We do not add charges to an invoice that you have not agreed to first.

Where a fault can’t be identified over the phone, a diagnostic fee applies. That fee is credited against the repair if you have us carry out the work.

3. Access and site requirements

Because we work at your location, you are responsible for making sure we can work there. Specifically:

  • You have the right to authorise work at that address, or you have the property owner’s or manager’s permission
  • The ground is reasonably level and firm enough to support jack stands
  • There is enough room to work safely alongside the vehicle
  • The working area is clear, and in winter, cleared of snow and ice

If we arrive and the location isn’t safe to work in, we will not proceed. We’d rather reschedule than put a vehicle on stands over ice or on a slope.

4. What we don’t do

Some work cannot be done safely or properly outside a shop. We do not carry out:

  • Transmission rebuilds or internal engine work
  • Wheel alignments, tire mounting or balancing
  • Body work, glass or paint
  • Exhaust welding
  • Any job requiring a full lift or the vehicle to be kept overnight

If your job falls into this list we’ll tell you before dispatching, and point you toward a shop. We’d rather lose the job than take it badly.

5. Parts

Parts we supply are covered by our warranty. Where you supply your own parts, we will fit them at your request, but:

  • We warrant our labour, not your part
  • If the part is incorrect, damaged or fails early, a return visit is chargeable
  • We may decline to fit a customer-supplied part where we believe it is unsafe or unsuitable, and we’ll explain why

Replaced parts are left with you unless you ask us to dispose of them. Used oil and fluids are removed and recycled.

6. Warranty

We warrant parts we supply and the labour to fit them for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, from the date of the invoice.

The warranty covers failure of the part or a defect in our workmanship. It does not cover:

  • Wear items consumed in normal use
  • Damage caused by accident, misuse, racing, off-road use or continuing to drive after a fault appears
  • Faults arising from parts you supplied, or from work carried out by someone else
  • Consequential losses such as towing, rental vehicles, lost wages or missed appointments

To claim, contact us first and give us the chance to inspect the vehicle. Work carried out elsewhere without giving us that opportunity is not reimbursable.

7. Payment

Payment is due on completion, at the vehicle, unless agreed otherwise in writing. We accept card, tap-to-pay and cash. An itemised invoice is issued by text or email.

Where financing is used, it is provided by a third-party lender. Your agreement is with them, not with us, and their terms govern it.

8. Cancellations, no-shows and weather

Please give us as much notice as you can if plans change. A repeated pattern of cancellation with no notice, or a locked and empty driveway when we arrive with parts, may result in a call-out charge on future bookings.

We may reschedule for weather. Wisconsin gets conditions where working on a vehicle outside is genuinely unsafe, and we won’t rush a brake job in an ice storm. If we reschedule, we tell you as early as we can and there is no charge for it.

9. Vehicle condition and liability

We take reasonable care of your vehicle and property while working. We are insured for our work.

To the fullest extent permitted by Wisconsin law, our liability for any claim arising from work we carry out is limited to the amount you paid us for that work. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

We are not responsible for pre-existing faults, for damage arising from a condition we were not engaged to inspect or repair, or for the failure of components we did not supply or fit.

Personal belongings left in the vehicle are your responsibility.

10. Photographs

We may photograph vehicles and completed work for our records, for warranty documentation and occasionally for marketing. We do not publish license plates, addresses or anything else that identifies you. If you’d rather we didn’t photograph your vehicle at all, just say so.

11. Communication

By giving us your phone number you agree we may call and text you about your enquiry and your job. Marketing messages are separate and only sent with your agreement — reply STOP to opt out at any time. See our privacy policy for full detail.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Dane County, Wisconsin.
