Do you really come to me anywhere in Madison?
Yes. Your driveway, an apartment or condo lot, your workplace parking stall, or the roadside. We need enough room to work safely beside the vehicle and reasonably level ground. If you're in a tight downtown ramp with a low ceiling, tell us up front and we'll figure out the best spot.
How much does a mobile mechanic cost in Madison?
For most jobs you get a flat quote before we're dispatched, so you know the number in advance. Where the fault isn't obvious over the phone, there's a set diagnostic fee, and that amount comes off the repair if you have us do the work. There's no separate trip charge inside our normal service area.
My car won't start at all. Can you still help?
That's one of our most common calls. A no-start is usually the battery, the charging system, the starter, or a fuel or ignition fault — all of which we can test and often repair on site. Fixing it where it sits is almost always cheaper than a tow plus a shop diagnostic.
Can I supply my own parts?
Sometimes, and we'll be honest about when it's a bad idea. When we supply the part, it's covered by our warranty. When you supply it, we warranty our labor but not the part — and if it's wrong or fails early, you pay for the second visit. For brakes and charging components we'd rather source it ourselves.
Is there a warranty on the work?
Yes — 12 months or 12,000 miles on parts and labor for parts we supply, given to you in writing on the invoice. If something we touched isn't right, we come back.
Do you work outside in Wisconsin winters?
We work year-round. Cold and light snow are normal working conditions here. What we won't do is rush a brake job in an ice storm or work in a spot that isn't safe — in genuinely bad weather we'll reschedule or find covered ground, and we'll tell you which before you're waiting on us. Winter is also our busiest season for batteries, starters and no-starts.
Can you inspect a used car before I buy it?
Yes, and it's some of the best money you'll spend. We meet you at the seller's location anywhere in Dane County, go over the vehicle, and give you a plain list of what it needs now and what it'll need soon. Bring us in before you hand over cash, not after.
