Why mobile

Most people don’t dread the repair bill nearly as much as they dread the logistics. Getting the car there. Finding a ride back. Taking a half day off. Waiting for a phone call that doesn’t come. The repair itself is usually a couple of hours; the day it costs you is the real price.

Mobile removes all of it. We bring the tools and the parts to wherever the car already is, and you carry on with your day. For a no-start it’s even more clear-cut: fixing a dead car in your driveway is almost always cheaper than paying to tow it somewhere first.

New name in Madison, not a new operator

Checo’s Pro is new to Madison, and pretending otherwise would be a poor start. Here’s what’s actually behind it: the same owner has run Pro Air Duct Cleaning LLC since 2018, an owner-operated service business that grew to over 160 five-star Google reviews without ever running an ad. It grew on people telling their neighbors.

That business was built on habits rather than marketing — answering the phone, arriving when you said you would, quoting honestly, and doing the work you were paid for. The trade is different here. The habits are not.

What we actually stand for

Three things, and we’d rather be judged on them than on adjectives.

You get the price before the work. Not after a teardown, not once the car’s already apart. If we can’t tell without looking, we say so and charge a set diagnostic fee that comes off the repair.

We tell you what we can’t do. There’s a real list of jobs a mobile mechanic shouldn’t take, and we publish it rather than quietly discovering it in your driveway. If your job needs a lift or an alignment rack, we’ll tell you on the phone and point you at a shop we’d use ourselves. That call costs you nothing.

You keep the old parts. Every worn rotor and dead alternator we replace gets left with you unless you’d rather we haul it. It’s the simplest possible proof that the work you paid for actually happened.

About the cat

Yes, the logo is a cat holding a wrench. His name is Checo, and cats are a fairly central feature of home life around here. A logo should look like the person behind the business rather than like every other auto shop’s italic red lettering — so a cat in a work shirt it is.
