Tell a Friend. You Both Get Paid.
We’ve never bought our way into a market with billboards. Every business the owner has built came from customers telling their neighbors — so it’s only fair the people doing the telling get something out of it.
Three steps, no small print worth hiding
Send us their details
Use the form or just text us their name and number. Give them a heads-up first — nobody enjoys an unexpected call.
They book a job
We quote them like anyone else. Same flat pricing, same warranty. They get [REWARD] off their first repair.
You get [REWARD]
Once their first job is paid, your reward comes to you. No cap on how many friends you send.
The rules, in full
- The friend has to be new to us — not an existing customer.
- Their first job has to be completed and paid for before the reward is issued.
- Diagnostic-only visits don’t qualify. It needs to be an actual repair.
- Both of you need to be inside our service area.
- No limit on referrals. Send five, get five.
- Rewards are issued within about a week of their job being paid.
- We won’t spam anyone. We reach out once, politely, and leave it there.
Why we run this instead of buying ads
A referral from someone who has actually had us out is worth more than any amount of advertising, and it costs less. When your neighbour tells you their mechanic showed up on time and charged what he quoted, that carries weight no billboard ever will. Paying for that directly is simply cheaper and more honest than paying a platform to interrupt strangers.
It also keeps us accountable in a way advertising does not. You are not going to send us to your sister if we let you down. That is the point.
What makes a good referral
Anyone with a vehicle inside our service area, really. But the people who get the most out of us tend to share a situation:
- They cannot lose a day. Shift workers, parents on the school run, anyone whose employer counts hours.
- They have no second car. Dropping a car off is a genuine logistical problem when it is the only one.
- Their car will not start. Fixing it in the driveway beats paying to tow it somewhere first, almost every time.
- They are about to buy a used car. A pre-purchase inspection is the cheapest money anyone spends on a vehicle, and most people do not know it is an option.
- They have been quoted something that sounded wrong. A second opinion costs them nothing.
Other ways to help
If you would rather not hand over a friend’s number — completely fair, and nobody should feel obliged — there are two things that genuinely move the needle for a small local business:
- Leave a Google review. Two sentences is plenty. It is the single biggest factor in whether a stranger in Madison calls us or the other guy.
- Mention us when someone asks. Neighbourhood groups and local pages ask for mechanic recommendations constantly. A one-line reply from a real customer beats anything we could write about ourselves.
Both are free, neither takes two minutes, and both do more for a one-truck business than a month of advertising.
